It was previously thought the 24-year-old was dating 'The Only Way Is Essex' star Lucy Mecklenburgh after meeting in a London nightclub earlier this year.
The singer is said to have met the model at Hollywood's Mondrian Hotel last week.
George's bandmate, Tom Parker, is quoted as telling the paper: "I was in bed that day because I was hungover, but Jasmine was at the same hotel, so she hung out with Max by the pool.
"Our security guard was telling me all about her because I didn't know who she was at first. I think she was really friendly though.
"Max is single now and is having the time of his life. One of the reasons why him and Michelle [Keegan] found it difficult was the fact they were away from each other so much.
"So I think Max might be scared to get back into a full-time relationship right now, to be honest. I met Lucy once and she was a really nice girl.
"I'm pretty sure they're still in contact but we're out here for four weeks, so the long-distance thing for him is hard."
Mecklenburgh previously insisted that she wasn't worried about George's reputation as a ladies' man, claiming that the couple were "taking it slow."
