In a report by the Daily Mail, the baby girl is said to weigh 6.2kg (13lbs 110z).
Doctors added that the girl's mother, 40-year-old Maxime Marin, had a natural and "uncomplicated" deliver at the Hospital Marina Salud in Denia, Alicante.
Ms Marin, who is from Britain but lives in Spain with her partner said she knew the baby was going to be big, but admitted "not that big."
She added that she "did not even need an epidural."
Dr Javier Rius, head of the hospital's department of obstetrics and gynaecology is quoted by the BBC as saying: "In my 40-year professional career I have never known of nay case of a birth with this weight by natural childbirth.
"We are all very satisfied with the work which we carried out."
Larger babies are usually delivered via caesarean section.
Both mother and daughter are understood to be doing well, although the little girl, named Maria Lorena, remains in the neonatal care unit.
