Logan Stevenson, from Pittsburgh, suffers from acute myeloid leukaemia and has undergone a number of operations. Last month, doctors said he only had weeks to live.
The devastating news prompted the toddler's parents, Christine Swidorsky and Sean Stevenson, to move their wedding forward.
They had initially planned to tie the knot in July 2014.
The wedding, which was held in the city of Pittsburgh, was a celebration of Logan's life.
Following the ceremony, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Mrs Swidorsky as saying: "This is our dream come true."
"It's just going to be one of those things that you remember all your life.
"It means the world to me. We're just blessed every day that he's here with us," her husband added.
The couple thanked the everyone who donated decorations, food and other gifts for the ceremony.
