Kim Kardashian has been described as a "hands on" mum by her best friend, Jonathan Cheban.
Cheban, who has been a friend of the family for a number of years, made the revelation in an interview with Extra last week.
He added that the 32-year-old mother has taken to motherhood extremely well.
He said: "Every time I'm on the phone with her she's with the baby. I'm almost getting jealous because I don't get that attention any more.
"She's like 'North, North, North', so she's a great, great mum, which is awesome."
The reality television star gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Kanye West last month. They called their daughter, North West.
When asked about whether the little girl looked more like her mother or father, Cheban carefully answered: "It's a split. She's gorgeous, really. You've got to see her, she's delicious."
Since giving birth on 15 June, neither Kim or her daughter have been seen in public.
Kardashian and West began dating in April 2012. In December, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child together.
