Earlier today (10 July), speculation emerged after a fan posted a photograph on Twitter which appeared to show the 25-year-old singer wearing two diamond-encrusted bands on her ring finger.
The photo was reported to have been taken backstage as the mum-of-one attended a Robbie Williams concert at Wembley earlier this month. However, it has since been claimed that the image is actually two years old and was taken at Deutscher Musikpreis in 2011.
A story by the Daily Mail speculating that the couple had tied the knot has now been removed.
Adding further weight to the story, Adele's grandmother is quoted by the publication as saying the singer "has not got married".
It has previously been reported that the young mum was planning to marry her partner in a 1950s-style wedding later this month.
A source said: "It's been one of the best years of Adele's life and to get married is the most amazing way to round it off. She's never been so in love.
"She's planning a modest do at a local church in a small village near their home in Sussex. The reception will just be at their house - it's all very low-key."
Adele and charity entrepreneur Konecki are said to have been dating since 2011. In June 2012, the singer confirmed she was pregnant with her first child. She gave birth to a baby boy, Angelo, in October. Konecki also has a five-year-old daughter with his ex-wife.
Last August, the couple were said to have married in a private ceremony, but Adele took to Twitter to deny the stories with a short message saying: "I'm not married…Zzzzzzz."
