On Sunday, the 26-year-old beat world number one Novak Djokovic to become the first British tennis player to win a Wimbledon men's singles title since 1936.
Throughout the tournament, the Scottish player was cheered on and supported by his girlfriend of seven years, Kim Sears.
When asked by MailOnline after the game if he will pop the question, Murray took a long pause before replying: "No... I haven't thought about that yet."
Again, on Monday, Murray was asked by television presenter Holly Willoughby about marriage, when she said: "I'm trying to think what your next challenge will be.
"You've had the US Open, the Olympics, now Wimbledon, could it be popping the question?"
Yet the 26-year-old coyly replied: "I only met you like ten minutes ago, so I wouldn't be telling you first."
Sears and Murray met through Ms Sears' father who is a tennis coach.
