Brits Look For Holiday Romance With Fellow Brits

A new survey has revealed that Britons are more likely to go for fellow Brits when looking for a holiday romance.

According to the report on website FemaleFirst, four in 10 women admit to wanting a holiday romance with a fellow Briton, while 38% of men agreed.

However, a significant proportion of women polled said they would not rule out the locals either, with almost a third saying they would happily hook up with an 'Italian stallion', while 11% set their sights on a Spaniard. Only 3% said they would go for a German man.

Looking at holiday romances, two thirds – of men and women – admitted to having been involved in at least one holiday romance, while 50% claimed they felt 'more romantic' being on holiday.

Interestingly, only 6% said they would blame a holiday romance on alcohol, with a third believing it is down to feeling more promiscuous on holiday, most likely, due to the lack of commitment involved.

This fact was proven when a third of men, and half of women, admitted the last time they see their holiday romance is at the departure gates before they return home.
