The singer, and her fiancé Eric Johnson, welcomed their second child on Sunday, a spokesperson for Simpson has confirmed.
He was born via a scheduled C-section in Los Angeles.
Speaking to US Magazine, the spokesperson revealed: "Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great. Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family."
Earlier this year, Johnson accidentally revealed the news that they were expecting a baby boy.
The couple, who got engaged in 2010, have previously said they want to marry shortly after the birth of their son, as 32-year-old Simpson fears she could fall pregnant again and be forced to cancel her wedding plans for a third time, having previously postponed their nuptials because of their unexpected baby news.
Simpson and Johnson are also parents to a 13-month-old girl, Maxwell.
Simpson was previously married to Nick Lachey, but they filed for divorce in 2005, after three years of marriage.
