The London Legacy Development committee said licences would be sought from Newham Council once the park is reopened to the public later this year.
The submissions are expected to include the ArcelorMittal Orbit tower as well as community space Timber Lodge.
The Olympic site in Stratford, east London has been closed since the Games last year, but it is expected to reopen again this summer following a £550m transformation project. It will eventually include houses, businesses, parklands and venues which will stage various sporting, entertainment and community events.
Dennis Hone, Chief Executive of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, said it would make "a fantastic place to celebrate a wedding".
Newham Council also welcomed the idea, with a spokesman saying: "There is no doubt that Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is capturing the imagination of local people and visitors alike.
"It would be an ideal venue for a marriage or civil partnership, given the special memories that so many took from the London Olympic and Paralympic Games."
It is understood the Camden Society, which will operate Timber Lodge, would make an application for the community centre and if approved, could host events as early as September, while Balfour Beatty Workplace is expected to apply for a licence for the Orbit, which can hold up to 300 people spread over two floors, when it reopens in spring 2014.
