The billionaire married his singer-songwriter fiancée Alexandra Lenas in a lavish $10m ceremony on Saturday, but it emerged that Mr Parker did not have the proper permits for the wedding.
The California Coastal Commission has since said it has reached an agreement with Parker to pay for coastal conservation programmes.
The wedding was said to have a 'Game of Thrones' theme attributed to it, and the setting for the couple's big day was said to include waterfalls and a cottage. However, officials were tipped that the cottage, fake ruins, staircases and other aspects of the background were built without permission.
The construction, which was carried out by a designer from the Lord of the Rings movies, took place at a closed campground. When staff carried out an inspection, they found the temporary structures had already been built but allowed the wedding to proceed. It said no major damage had been done, but the settlement money would be used to purchase public easements and hiking trails.
Parker will also have to produce and distribute a public education video or create a mobile app aimed at helping to identify areas where the public can access the coast in proximity to their location.
In a statement, Park said he was "excited" to support the projects.
He added: "We always dreamed of getting married in Big Sur, one of the most magical places on earth. In continuing my foundation's mission, we are excited to support these important conservation-related projects for and with the local community."
