Melanie Sykes 'Keeping Wedding Details' Secret

Melanie Sykes is reported to be keeping the details of her upcoming wedding secret until the last minute.

According to The Mirror, the television personality made the decision after the location of her wedding was leaked earlier this month.

42-year-old Sykes was reported to be marrying her 27-year-old fiancé Jack Cockings at the historic Sherborne Abbey, Dorset. However, following the leak, Syke's publicist said the couple had been forced to change their venue. It was also thought the couple were seeking a new venue because, as a public building, having the wedding in an abbey would mean members of the public would be entitled to attend.

The couple are reported to be marrying next weekend, but a source close to Sykes has said she will not be sharing the details with her wedding guests until 24 hours before the ceremony.

They said: "Melanie is planning her wedding in complete secrecy after details emerged.

"Only her closest friends know where she is getting married and the rest of the guests will be told the day before. Mel is being very cagey."

Sykes and Cockings revealed their engagement last August after four months after they began exchanging flirty messages on Twitter.

Sykes has two sons from her previous marriage to actor Daniel Caltagirone.
