The BBC added that there are already more humanist weddings that Roman Catholic weddings in Scotland.
It is now believed it will overtake Church of Scotland ceremonies in just two years' time.
Speaking about the latest figures, the Humanist Society of Scotland said there needed to be greater recognition of an ever-increasing secular Scotland.
The society claims that almost half of Scots are not religious, citing this as a reason as to the large influx of humanist wedding, funeral and baby naming services.
Two years ago, the number of humanist weddings overtook Catholic ceremonies in the country, making it the third most popular type of wedding behind civil and Church of Scotland services.
The UK's first legal humanist wedding took place in Edinburgh in 2005. Before then, a second, civil ceremony had to be held to make the marriage legal. However, new legislation meant they could take place without a minister or civil registrar.
