The "world of pure imagination" ceremony came complete with candy canes, golden tickets and an Oompa Loompa, according to Yahoo.
Ben and Donna Low married in Barnsley, Yorks, last week and said the idea behind the theme came from the groom's love of the 1971 movie and the bride's love of sweets.
The couple initially sent 'Wonka' chocolate bars with golden tickets inside to their guests as invites, while the reception also paid tribute to the famous musical.
On arrival to the venue, guests walked through giant 'Wonka' purple and golden gates, while inside the building, the reception room was decorated with enormous sweets and purple decorations. Giant candy canes and lollipops as well as a pick-and-mix sweet table were also on display, with each table given its own sweet-theme and name.
Instead of confetti, guests threw small sweets, and the bride's bouquet was made from flowers and lollipops. There was even an actor dressed as an Oompa Loompa to keep guests entertained.
The couple decided to dress traditionally as they tied the knot, but the bride wore a pair of deep purple shoes while the groom had a cane filled with sweets.
Mr Low said the event took six months to plan and cost around £15,000. However, he said it was worth every penny.
He added: "Everyone loved the Oompa Loompa we hired, who played a goblin in the Harry Potter films, and he helped me with my speech, which people found quite funny.
"Even staff at the venue who weren't working that day came in because they wanted to see the reception. It all went to plan and everyone seemed to have a good time and a laugh."
