Katy Perry and John Mayer are reported to have ended their relationship.
According to People, the couple decided to go their separate ways after seven months of dating.
Just last month, during a Valentine's Day dinner, Perry was spotted wearing a heart-shaped ring on her ring finger, prompting speculation that the pair had got engaged.
However, friends of the couple later dismissed the rumours saying the ring was only a "commitment ring".
When Perry's divorce from British comedian Russell brand was finalised in February 2012, the singer began dating Mayer. The pair split up in August that year, only to reunite a few weeks later.
Speaking about the relationship in February, Mayer admitted: "I don't feel like I'm in a celebrity relationship. For the first time in my life, I don't feel like I'm in a celebrity relationship, I really don't.
"I'm not in a high-profile - I know it's high-profile, it's hard to explain. It doesn't feel that way to me - and great."
Perry was previously married to Brand for fourteen months. They began dating in September 2009 after meeting at the MTV Video Music Awards. They became engaged in December 2009 and married the following October. In December 2011, Brand filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
