A friend close to Tom Cruise has said the actor is doing well after his split from Katie Holmes, The Sun has claimed.
Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise last June after five years of marriage.
A month later, the couple reached a settlement with the divorce being finalised in August.
Despite the split however, director Adam Shankman says the 50-year-old actor was "thriving".
He said: "They are incredibly happy. I've just been emailing with him. He's coming back. He's shooting in London and seems as happy as a clam. I know he sees his daughter."
Mr Shankman added: "Katie seems really happy. You just fight through all the noise. And it’s noisy!”"
Cruise is currently in the UK as he works on upcoming project All You Need Is Kill.
The couple began dating in 2005 with Cruise proposing in June of that year. In 2006, the Holmes and Cruise married in a Scientology ceremony in Italy, but had officialised their marriage in LA the day before.
