The singer, said he wouldn't have been able to get through the milestone if it hadn't of been for his "beautiful" girlfriend, new! magazine has reported.
The reality television star lost his older brother Andrew to kidney cancer in December last year and said it was difficult for him to come to terms with the loss.
He said: "My birthday just wasn't the same without my brother. Things are still pretty raw, but it does help that I've got Emily by my side. It's been hard but Emily's been a great support. I really love having her around and it helps make everything feel OK."
Andre and MacDonagh have been dating for seven months.
Just last week the singer said that while he definitely wanted more kids in the future, the couple were in no rush to tie the knot. Andre has two children, a son Junior and a daughter named Princess, with ex-wife Katie Price. The couple divorced in September 2009 after almost four years of marriage.
