The former Baywatch actress has grown close to Matt, according to The Mirror.
A source told the paper: "No one imagined they would get together but after spending more and more time together away from the rink, things started to progress.
"Matt stayed with Pamela at her house in Malibu shortly before Christmas and they also went out for a couple of dinners in LA.
"She invited him to be her guest of honour at her New Year’s Eve party at the Dorchester in London, and it was then something first happened.
"During filming Pammy was renting a cottage and Matt stayed with her. After going shopping together, and Matt lugging back all her groceries, they were joking about how domesticated they’d become."
Anderson was the first celebrity to leave the ITV competition, and is now back in the USA. She is said to have cost ITV £1,000 a second for her one performance.
Pamela Anderson has previously been married to Tommy Lee, Kid Rock and Rick Salomon. Her last romance was with Cirque du Soleil performer Jesus Villa.
