King's Lynn's Hanse House Transformed Into Wedding Venue

The 15th Century King's Lynn's Hanse House in Norfolk is to be transformed into a wedding venue.

Planning permission was granted to transform Hanse House in King's Lynn into a multi-use venue, which will turn into a seven-day indoor market and include a bistro and bar.

The space may also be used for art galleries and exhibitions.

The building was previously owned by Norfolk County Council and used as a council registry office.

It was an international trading warehouse during the town's connection in the Hanseatic League until 1751.

Businessman James Lee, who bought the Grade I-listed building, said it would be "brought back to its former glory".

"It will create employment and I'm hoping it will have a buzz about it," he added.
