Danielle Watson, 22, from Billericay, Essex, received donations of thousands of pounds towards her dream wedding from wellwishers.
They then became suspicious when she said she was expecting a baby despite being in the advance stages of the disease.
She has been released on bail after her arrest for fraud by false representation.
Danielle's campaign to gain £6,000 for 'intravenous Vitamin C treatment' was aided by a charity ball plus an auction supported by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "A woman was arrested on July 27 in connection with police inquiries into a charity collection.
"The 22-year-old woman was arrested at her home in Billericay at 9.30am.
"She was arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation.
"The woman was later bailed until August 6 pending further inquiries."
