Speaking to InStyle magazine, the reality TV star said she never gave up on love.
When asked about being featured in Kanye's lyrics she commented: "People can interpret it however they want. That’s him making music. I don’t even know it’s about me.
"We know what we are to each other. We’ve had a deep friendship for so long and that’s the start of a really good relationship."
Kim, who admits to falling in love easily, married basketball star Kris Humphries last August, but after just 72 days of marriage, she filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
She commented: "Taking that time off was critical. Anyone would want to move on and take the lesson learnt from it. I loved this person, it just wasn’t the right situation for me. I try to hold my head up high and live my life.
"I’ve always been the type to fall in love fast and, with every boyfriend, I plan out my wedding in my head. It’s taught me to take things slow. I’ve always believed in love. I haven’t always been so lucky, but I still do believe in it.
"I feel that the situation would have been the same whether there were cameras present or not. If anything, the process was dragged out, because I didn’t want to end the relationship with the cameras on."
The reality star hasn't given up the dream of a having a family.
"I want to be married with two parents in the house to raise the kids. But, if that wasn’t the option for me, I would do it on my own," she said.
