In the ever coveted 6ft wide dress, Danielle Maughan, who has appeared in the hit television show My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, was just one day past her 16th birthday, the legal minimum, when she married 21-year-old Brendan Joyce this weekend.
Danielle told the Daily Star that she was 'excited and very, very happy' to be marrying Brendan.
'He has a lovely personality, he's really happy all the time and he's a good looking boy, which does help,' she said.
Despite being the picture of happiness at their nuptials the happy couple may soon find their wedded bliss brought to a premature end. The Daily Star reported that Danielle's new husband is facing jail after being accused of handling stolen goods. He is currently awaiting sentence after being allowed out on bail earlier this year.
Hundreds of fans of the Channel Four programme lined the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of the bride, and swarmed around her limousine when she arrived at the Our Lady Of Walsingham Catholic church in Corby, Northhants, on Saturday.
The wedding is set to be featured on an episode of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding in December this year.
