Brad's manager confirmed the news after Angela was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger.
"It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy," Pitt's told E! News. "There's no date set at this time."
The couple have adopted Maddox, Zahara and Pax together and have three biological children; Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne.
The pair met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. This will be the second marriage for Brad who was previously married to Jennifer Aniston.
It will be the third marriage for Angelina, who was married to Jonny Lee Miller and then Billy Bob Thornton.
The couple are currently living in England as Angelina films three movies back to back. It is rumoured they will wed in France.
