Asda Supports Brides With Lingerie That Won’t Bust The Bank

Brides-to-be want to feel and look their best on their big day, but have said they often pay over the odds for bridal lingerie with some retailers charging 282% more than their regular lingerie lines.

George at Asda has come to the rescue and launched a four piece ‘Bridal Inspired’ collection for as little as £11.50 - £16 - a massive 1,639% cheaper than the most expensive high street alternative.

Bridal sets from elsewhere can cost between £62 - £200, in comparison to £22 for a regular set of lingerie, forcing shoppers to pay more for items associated with the words ‘bridal’ and ‘wedding’.

The average wedding costs in excess of £20,000, Asda shoppers revealed that they would spend up to £50 on a set of lingerie for their big day– so this new George collection on sale for 1/5 of the price will certainly bring wedding bells to their ears.

George Brand Director, Fiona Lambert said: "Brides-to-be want to look and feel their best on the big day, but don’t always want to spend a fortune and add to the cost of the wedding. We wanted to show that you can design a beautiful set of underwear in a luxurious fabric at a great price with our new bridal-inspired lingerie. Plus, the savings made by purchasing a lingerie set by George could buy an extra night on honeymoon."
