Cheryl Cole Sues Over MC Harvey Affair Claims

Cheryl Cole is seeking damages for libel after IPC Media published stories claiming she was involved in a "secret romance" with rapper MC Harvey, the BBC reports.

The 28-year-old has filed papers at the High Court after Now magazine published a story in February about the alleged relationship and a follow-up claiming to be proof.


The couple had a war of words of on twitter with the singer denying the claims.

"Was this 'relationship' happening in your head?", she tweeted to the rapper.

He replied he would "rather go broke and work in Sainsbury's" than discuss her personal life.

The Girls Aloud singer is also suing over the misuse of private information.

Ms Cole is seeking an injunction to ban the publisher from repeating the allegations.
