Aimee Robinson, 25, got 18 bids on eBay and the winner has stumped up £535 to join her at the reception next month, according to The Sun.
Pr consultant Aimee, who lives in Greenwich, South East London, will get her mum to vett the date before the big day.
The ad asked for a man aged 24-45 with his "own hair and teeth".
"We have no pictures and very little information, so the end result could be interesting," she told the newspaper.
"But if someone's brave enough — and I'm brave enough to put myself out there — then maybe we've something in common.
"There's pressure to bring someone. I'd like to avoid sad stares."
The money will be donated to charity Diabetes UK.
