Performed by the critically-acclaimed Rumpus Theatre Company and based on Charles Dickens' eerie tale To Be Read At Dusk, the show tells of the horrible events which overcome a young couple when they set off for their honeymoon in Italy.
Proud husband Thomas Manning is happy and carefree but his bride Harriet is troubled by a dream - a dream of a face which appeared before her three times in the nights leading up to her wedding.
At the overgrown palazzo where they are to spend the next few weeks, amid the shadowy rooms and moonstruck gardens, the intangible dread which haunts Harriet reaches a horrifying climax.
The show, which is written by John Goodrum, is the latest offering from Rumpus - a lively theatre company which aims to present the very best in stylish, audience-friendly productions.
Rumpus has thrilled Hartlepool audiences for a number of years with productions including Dracula's Guest, The Mystery of Edwin Drood and The Nightmare Room.
Lesley Todd, of Hartlepool Council's Cultural Services Section, said: "The Haunted Bride will keep you on the edge of your seat right up until the curtain comes down - and even then you'll be looking over your shoulder.
"It's just the ticket for a spooky night's entertainment and is sure to make it a memorable Halloween."
The show starts at 8pm and tickets cost £10, or £9 for concessions. To book call the Box Office on 01429 890000.
