The top dating search terms released by UK dating web site Singleme for August 2011 reveal that single women using singles dating and online personals to look for unattached men are being very choosy over the type of partner they agree to date.
Female members of singles dating web site, singleme.co.uk have revealed that they are looking for a particular type of man to date. Increasingly single females using the site have been searching for dating search terms such as 'affluent single man' and 'date attractive wealthy man.'
Search data from naughtyandsingle.co.uk, the adult dating sister site of SingleMe has also shown that popular media influences the search results.
Currently doing the rounds in cinemas is the film 'Friends With Benefits.' This particular search term has now started to appear in the top ten dating related search queries. Strong evidence that single men and women are looking for very specific types of matchmaking when looking for a date.
Normally top dating related searches conducted by females consist of queries such as "Good Looking Man", 'Single Man", "Flirting" and "Attractive Man" these are the terms that single women search for on the SingleMe database. During August 2011 many of these dating terms have been replaced by traditionally more niche terms as well as regional dating terms.
Collectively the terms, 'Affluent Date" "Rich Single Man" and "Friends With Benefits" have generated over 55,000 searches in the past fortnight. These are new entries that did not previously feature in the list of search terms conducted by SingleMe and NaughtyandSingle members.
A SingleMe spokesperson indicated that more single women are taking the time to build their dating profile and post attractive pictures in the realisation that this is the window into their world and the best way to attract single men with means, prospects and high moral standards.
The most popular search terms terms that frequently appear in female members' searches across SingleMe during the first part of 2011 include:

2. Local Date
3. Dating in London
4. Date Wealthy Man
5. Good Looking man
6. Flirting
7. Manchester Dating
8. UK Singles
9. Friends With Benefits
10. Meet Single Men
