Pippa Middleton has committed the ultimate wedding faux-pas by wearing green to a friend's wedding.
The 28-year-old wore a below-the-knee silky dress ignoring the superstition that wearing green to a wedding is bad luck (unless your Irish).
The old adage says ‘weddings and green should never be seen’.
Pippa was attending the wedding of Edinburgh University friend Humphrey Bowles to Hattie Dawson at St Oswald’s Church in Lythe, North Yorkshire.
She teamed the dress with a black feather fascinator and matching cross-strapped suede high-heels.
Pippa caught the eye of the fashion-set after wearing a satin-based crepe, cowl front, ivory bridesmaid gown by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen at the royal wedding of Prince William and her sister Kate in April.
The Bowles wedding is the fifth wedding Pippa has attended this year.
