American singer-songwriter Neil Diamond has announced that engagement to his girlfriend and showbiz co-manager, Katie McNeil.
The 70-year-old singer took to his twitter page yesterday to make the announcement.
He tweeted: "Good news coming from sunny LA/ and you're the first I want to tell/Katie & I just got engaged/and I hope you wish us well. Neil."
Katie was the Executive Producer of 2009 documentary Neil Diamond: Hot August Night NYC.
The star uploaded a snap of his beau (pictured above) to the social networking site saying: "I'd like you to meet Katie. I'm lovestruck. I took this photo in London last month."
Diamond married his high school sweetheart, school teacher Jayne "Posey" Posner, in 1963. They had two daughters, Marjorie and Elyn, before they divorced in 1969.
In December 1969, Diamond married Marcia Murphey, a production assistant; they also had two children, both sons, Jesse and Micah. Diamond's second marriage ended in 1995.
