Beechfield House Hotel

We stayed here at Christmas this year, cutting our stay short.
Flat access to a room does not equal 'disabled facilities' as advertised. The room was in no other way suitable - cramped with a narrow doorway; the shower head fixed over a bath. All the bathrooms in the hotel are the same. The hotel maintains that they are 'disabled friendly'.

Christmas lunch for which we had paid £100 per head was truly awful. The whole thing felt like it had been pre-cooked and kept hanging around for far too long. It was a dispiriting experience on Chirstmas Day. The hotel puts on airs and graces like combing the tablecloth but the food was poor.

Perhaps just as bad was the hotel's response to our complaint. An offer of 50% off a return stay when the rooms are not suitable is not a 'gesture of goodwill'. They would not engage at all over the issue of the food.

If you stay here you may well be disappointed and, if you are, don't expect the hotel management to listen to your concerns.
