Our Wedding Cake

Dawn McCabe, pastry chef with over 25 years experience in the pastry business.From busy hotels to family restaurants Dawn has worked with some of the finest chefs and most demanding kitchens around the world.
Dawn has won numerous awards for her pastry and cake work competing with chefs from the USA, Singapore, Malaysia, France, Germany and Bermuda.
Dawn's attention to detail will ensure that your wedding cake is made to the highest possible standard.
Working from home, in the countryside near Downpatrick, all of my cakes are baked fresh to order, using only the best ingredients.
I thoroughly enjoy baking and decorating and have been a pastry chef for 25 years, 9 of which were spent in the pastry shops and hotels of Bermuda.
In Bermuda I entered the yearly professional catering competitions competing with other professional chefs around the world.
I achieved 4 Silver Medals, 6 Gold Medals and 2 Trophies, including one for the individual with the most points in the professional culinary section presented by the Societe Culinaire Philanthropique of New York all of which were for my wedding and special occasion cakes.
Since returning home I have enjoyed making cakes for all occasions in my spare time. Now my family are growing up and more independent I feel it is the right time to branch out into wedding cake creation and design. I really enjoying it so far, so bear with me as I have lots more ideas and skills to share.
