The actress is said to be looking for someone who is not involved in acting or sports and would like someone who is out of the spotlight.
Munn, 37, was previously in a relationship with sportsman Aaron Rodgers but after much speculation, the couple separated earlier this year.
A source is now quoted by the US edition of OK! magazine as saying: "Olivia was badly burned by the Aaron experience. He strung her along for years and used her to raise his celebrity in the sports world.
"She's not going to fall for another 'star' again and is looking for a somewhat more normal guy."
They added: "She likes a man with money. She says she's looking for an Elon Musk type; somebody who doesn't have to prove himself every day to make a big contribution to the world. She wants substance and gravitas, not shallow actors or definitely not another sports figure."
