Gibson is the Collins' fifth husband, but despite being known for her colourful love life, the actress has said this marriage will be forever.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Dame Collins admitted: "It is my fifth marriage, and my happiest, and last. Percy is wonderful, he's my soul mate.
"That doesn't mean we don't bicker, but we are very understanding of each other."
Her partner added: "I've certainly never been happier and I hope that I make Joan happy because she definitely deserves that."
Collins married Gibson in February 2002 at a ceremony at Claridge's Hotel in London. In 2009, the couple renewed their vows. Her first marriage was to actor Maxwell Reed in 1952, but they divorced in 1956. Her second marriage to Anthony Newley took place in 1963 and the couple had two children together, before their separation in 1971. The following year, she married Ron Kass and the pair had one child, a daughter, together. The marriage ended in 1983. In November 1985, Collins married singer Peter Holm in Las Vegas. They divorced in August 1987.
