The 'Masterchef' host, 50, and 28-year-old Ms Sterpini started dating in March 2013 after talking to each other over Twitter and last year they revealed their engagement.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, Wallace recalled the moment they first time he saw his wife-to-be. Initially, she had sent him a message via the social networking site asking if rhubarb could be served with duck. He added: "I just looked at Anna's photo and thought, 'Wow, she's pretty'.
"So yes, rhubarb, which was considered an aphrodisiac in medieval times, brought us together."
During the interview, the food critic also hit out at reports he is a "womaniser".
"I've been portrayed as a womanising football hooligan, but I don't recognise that person," he admitted. "Now I like to go home, cook with Anna and read history books. I also read to her in bed. We're big fans of Winnie the Pooh."
And on the possibility of becoming a father again, Wallace joked: "I think she'll be pregnant by the time we return from honeymoon. Seriously, I'm looking forward to becoming a dad again. I've bought the complete collection of AA Milne and some rather cosy cardigans, so I'm ready."
This will be the fourth marriage for Wallace. He separated with his first wife, Christine, in 1991 after just six weeks of marriage. He married his second wife Denise in 1999 following a whirlwind relationship and they had two children together, Tom and Libby. The couple separated in 2004.
Wallace's third wife, Heidi, was 17 years his junior. They started dating in 2009 after she asked him a question on Twitter about food. They tied the knot in 2010, but their union ended after just 18 months.
