The pair, who were believed to have started a relationship late last year, were thought to have separated just before Valentine's Day due to their busy work schedules keeping them apart.
However, now the Hungarian model has claimed that the couple's relationship has been blown out of proportion.
Speaking to Digital Spy at the ELLE Style Awards earlier this week, Palvin, 20, said that the One Direction star was a "friend" and that she has "always been a girl [who] hangs out with boys".
She explained: "He's my friend. I've always been a girl [who] hangs out with boys, and I'm not going to change that, even though people write stuff about me.
"I play football – I'm not going to change my personality."
The model also described Horan as a "lovely guy – fun, Irish, sarcastic all the time. But, I'm sarcastic too."
