Rumours that the 30-year-old had given birth circulated earlier this week, but Krasinski has now confirmed the news.
Taking to his Twitter account, the actor wrote: "Wanted to let the news out directly. Emily and I are so incredibly happy to welcome our daughter Hazel into the world today! Happy bday! (sic)"
No other details of the birth have been released.
Blunt and Krasinski started dating in November 2008 and in August 2009, they announced their engagement. The couple married in Como, Italy, in July 2010.
