The 'Shameless' actress turned 51 last month, but in December 2013, she gave birth to a daughter – Flame – following a course of IVF treatment.
But in an interview with the Daily Mirror, Malone said that while she had a difficult pregnancy, she would like another baby because she does not want Flame to grow up as a single child.
She said: "I have been so lucky and , obviously, if a doctor said 'absolutely not' I wouldn't go against that. I'm not stupid.
"But if the tests said everything was fine, I absolutely would. I would like Flame not to grow up an only child.
"Paul [her husband] was worried about me, especially when I was ill at the end.
"But seriously, if I'm talking percentages of going for it, I'm about 70 per cent. It would be at the end of the year when Flame is one."
Malone and her husband, 31-year-old Paul, married in August 2010. They announced their pregnancy in May 2013. Malone is also a mother to Danielle, 32, from a previous relationship.
