According to the National Enquirer magazine, a family insider claims: "AJ is exactly the kind of person that security would throw out of Jen's wedding. Instead he'll be front and centre at the ceremony.
"Justin feels that having AJ act as his best man at the wedding will give him an anchor in the family.
"There's no doubt that AJ is quirky, but he's got a good heart and Jen does love him."
It is thought Aniston and her fiancé are planning to tie the knot in a small, low-key ceremony in Bel Air, California.
The couple started dating in 2011 and in August 2012, announced their engagement.
Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt. They married in July 2000, but divorced in 2005 following allegations that Pitt had been unfaithful.
