Kanye West has said his girlfriend, Kim Kardashian, is his "support system".
The rapper was talking about his partner and mother of his child during an interview with BBC Radio One, and added that Kardashian has helped him focus on spending time with his family.
He explained: "Family time is what Kim gave me. She gave me everything. She gave me a family, she gave me a support system."
He added that he fell in love with the reality television star because she made her own money, meaning he does not have to worry that she is only interested in him for his wealth.
"She was in a powerful enough situation where she could love me without asking me for money, which is really hard for me to find," he admitted.
Kardashian and West have been dating since April 2012. They welcomed their first child together, a daughter named North, in June.
